About the Lexus IS XE10
Launched to challenge the BMW 3 Series, the XE10-generation Lexus IS (known as the Toyota Altezza in Japan) brought a distinct Japanese aesthetic to the compact executive market. It is famous for its 'Altezza-style' clear tail lights and a unique chronograph-inspired instrument cluster, both of which became major tuning trends. The IS 200 features a smooth 1G-FE straight-six engine and a sophisticated double-wishbone suspension setup that provides excellent handling balance. While not as powerful as its German rivals, its exceptional build quality and rear-wheel-drive dynamics have earned it a dedicated following among enthusiasts and drifters.
