About the FSO 125p
The FSO 125p, originally marketed as the Polski Fiat 125p, was the result of a 1965 licensing agreement between the Polish government and Fiat. While it shared the sharp, modern bodywork of the Italian Fiat 125, it utilised the older, more robust overhead-valve engines and chassis components from the Fiat 1300/1500 to better suit Poland's rugged road conditions. It became a symbol of social mobility in the Eastern Bloc, serving as the standard family car and taxi for decades. Though crude by Western standards, its simplicity and durability have earned it a significant cult following among classic car collectors today.
