About the Ferrari 296 GTB
The 296 GTB introduced a new plug-in hybrid powertrain to Ferrari’s mid-engined berlinetta range. Its wide-angle twin-turbo V6 works with an electric motor to produce a combined 830 CV. Rear-wheel drive and an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox preserve a focused sports-car layout despite the hybrid technology. The sprint and kerb weight here come from Car and Driver’s tested example, rather than Ferrari’s optional-lightweight dry-weight claim.
