About the Cupra Ateca
The 2021 Cupra Ateca represents the mid-cycle facelift of the first model launched under the standalone Cupra brand. While the 300 PS EA888 engine remains familiar, a recalibrated 4Drive all-wheel-drive system dropped the 0-100 km/h time to a brisk 4.9 seconds. The update introduced a more aggressive front fascia inspired by the Formentor and a significantly upgraded interior featuring a 9.2-inch infotainment system and a new steering wheel with integrated satellite buttons. It remains a benchmark for combining Volkswagen Group's MQB-platform practicality with genuine hot-hatch pace.
