About the Chevrolet Suburban

The twelfth-generation Chevrolet Suburban, introduced for the 2021 model year, represents the most significant mechanical overhaul in the model's long history. Built on the GMT T1XX platform, it finally abandoned the traditional live rear axle in favour of a multi-link independent rear suspension, drastically improving ride quality and third-row legroom. The 5.3-litre EcoTec3 V8 remains the stalwart powerplant, featuring Dynamic Fuel Management to deactivate cylinders for efficiency. With a wheelbase stretched to 134.1 inches, it offers class-leading cargo volume that rivals many commercial vans.
