About the Cadillac ELR

The Cadillac ELR was a bold attempt to translate the 2009 Converj concept into a production luxury plug-in hybrid. Sharing its Voltec powertrain with the Chevrolet Volt, it offered a premium interior and sharp 'Art and Science' styling but struggled to justify a launch price nearly double that of its sibling. While it provided a refined 37-mile electric-only range, its performance was often critiqued as being too similar to the Volt despite the significant price premium. Today, it is a rare sight on the road, valued by collectors for its unique design and low production numbers.
