About the Cadillac DeVille
The eighth-generation DeVille arrived for the new millennium as a technological showcase, moving Cadillac onto the stiffer G-body platform. It famously introduced the Raytheon-developed Night Vision thermal imaging system and became the first production car to feature full-LED taillights. While the DTS trim offered more power, the base 4.6 Northstar focused on traditional American luxury with a smooth, isolated ride and a spacious six-passenger cabin. Today, it is remembered as the final iteration of the classic DeVille nameplate before it was rebranded as the DTS.
