About the Bentley Mulsanne
Launched in 2010 as Bentley's flagship, the Mulsanne was the first big Bentley in 80 years to be designed from the ground up on a unique platform rather than sharing one with Rolls-Royce or Volkswagen. It was powered by the final evolution of the venerable 6.75-litre L-Series V8, an engine lineage dating back to 1959, here producing a massive 1,020 Nm of torque. Unlike the more common Continental range, the Mulsanne was hand-assembled in Crewe with a focus on bespoke craftsmanship, requiring over 400 hours to complete each car. It offers a peerless 'waft' and a sense of occasion that few modern cars can match, serving as a high-water mark for traditional British coachbuilding.
