About the Bentley Azure
The Bentley Azure was the flagship convertible of the 1990s, combining the potent mechanicals of the Continental R with a bespoke body designed by Pininfarina. Each car was a logistical feat, with shells transported from Crewe to Italy for the fitment of the complex automated soft-top before returning to the UK for final assembly. Powered by the venerable 6.75-litre V8, it offers 'waftability' and effortless torque, though its 2.6-tonne kerb weight prioritises grand touring comfort over outright agility. As one of the last truly hand-built Bentleys before the Volkswagen era fully took hold, it remains a pinnacle of 20th-century luxury.
