About the Benetton B201
The B201 was the last Benetton, raced in 2001 by Giancarlo Fisichella and Jenson Button with Mark Webber as test driver, as the team switched from Bridgestone to Michelin tyres. Its new Renault RS21 V10 used an unusually wide vee angle to lower the centre of gravity, but it was strengthened during the season for reliability, which added weight. Fisichella called the early car undriveable, but after a major mid-season update the team scored a double points finish in Germany and Fisichella took third in Belgium. Benetton finished seventh in the constructors' championship with 10 points.
