About the Alfa Romeo C43
The C43 became the final car of the Alfa Romeo naming partnership after the Italian brand announced in August 2022 that it would leave Formula One at the end of 2023. Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu, both in their second year with the team, drove it, with the online casino Stake replacing Orlen as title sponsor. The Ferrari-powered car scored only 16 points, its best results being Bottas's eighth places in Bahrain and Qatar, and the team slipped from sixth in 2022 to ninth in the Constructors' Championship. Zhou's fifth place on the grid in Hungary was the best qualifying result of his career at the time.
