Alfa Romeo C38
The car that brought Alfa Romeo back to Formula One as a team name, with Kimi Räikkönen scoring points first time out.
About the Alfa Romeo C38
Originally known as the Sauber C38, it became the first Sauber-engineered car to race as an Alfa Romeo after a team renaming deal in February 2019, marking Alfa Romeo's first season as a Formula One team since 1985. It was designed by a group including Simone Resta and Luca Furbatto and powered by a customer Ferrari 064, with a 120 kW electric motor deploying its recovered energy. Kimi Räikkönen's eighth place in Australia gave Alfa Romeo its first points since the 1984 European Grand Prix, and the best result came in Brazil, where Räikkönen and Antonio Giovinazzi finished fourth and fifth. The team finished eighth in the Constructors' Championship with 57 points.
