About the Acura RLX
Launched as the successor to the Acura RL, the RLX served as the brand's flagship executive sedan, prioritising rear-seat legroom and advanced safety technology. The 3.5 V6 model introduced Acura's Precision All-Wheel Steer (P-AWS) system, which independently adjusts the rear wheel toe angles to improve low-speed agility and high-speed stability. Despite its sophisticated Earth Dreams engine and 'Jewel Eye' LED headlights, the RLX struggled to compete against established European rivals due to its conservative styling and front-wheel-drive layout. It remains a choice for collectors seeking a comfortable, reliable, and understated luxury cruiser with high levels of standard equipment.
