About the Williams FW24
Closely based on the FW23 and powered by a development of BMW's 2001 V10, the FW24 was raced in 2002 by Ralf Schumacher and Juan Pablo Montoya. Schumacher won in Malaysia with Montoya second, Williams' first one-two since the 1996 Portuguese Grand Prix and the car's only win. Montoya took seven pole positions, including a run of five in a row in mid-season, and finished third in the championship with Schumacher fourth. Williams were second in the constructors' standings, but more than 100 points behind Ferrari.
