About the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series
Inspired by the SLS AMG GT3 race car, the Black Series is the most extreme iteration of the C197 generation. It features a heavily revised M159 V8 with a higher 8,000 rpm redline, a titanium exhaust system, and extensive use of carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic that sheds 70kg compared to the standard model. The chassis is sharpened with manually adjustable coilover suspension and a wider track, while the exterior is defined by aggressive aero including a fixed rear wing. As the final naturally aspirated V8 supercar from AMG, it has become a blue-chip collector piece known for its visceral soundtrack and raw handling.
