About the Mercedes-Benz B-Class W247
The third-generation B-Class (W247) moved away from the boxy 'sandwich floor' architecture of its predecessors in favour of the MFA2 platform shared with the A-Class. This shift resulted in a sleeker, more aerodynamic profile and a significantly more advanced interior featuring the MBUX infotainment system with dual widescreen displays. The B 180 uses a 1.33-litre engine developed in collaboration with Renault, featuring cylinder deactivation for improved efficiency. While marketed as a 'Sports Tourer', it remains a pragmatic choice, offering a higher seating position and greater versatility than a standard hatchback.
