About the Lotus E22

The E22 was designed under technical director Nick Chester for the Lotus F1 Team's 2014 season, using Renault's new 1.6-litre Energy F1-2014 V6 turbo hybrid. Romain Grosjean was joined by Pastor Maldonado, who replaced the Ferrari-bound Kimi Räikkönen. The team missed the first pre-season test, and with little mileage and an unreliable power unit both cars retired from the Australian opener. Grosjean scored the car's first points with eighth in Spain, but only two more points finishes followed, the team later admitted a fundamental chassis design flaw, and Lotus fell from fourth to eighth in the Constructors' Championship.

The Lotus E22 is a Unicorn card in CarSpot, with a rarity score of 42 out of 100. The rarest tier: hypercars, one-offs and cars built in tiny numbers, typically fewer than about 500. A Unicorn card is worth 320 XP.

Each model's tier starts from a 0–100 score based on its value plus its power or production numbers. Once enough players have spotted a model, how often it is spotted can move it up or down one tier. How CarSpot rarity works
