About the Lotus Evija
The Lotus Evija represents a radical departure for the Hethel-based marque, serving as its first fully electric model and a technological halo for the Geely era. Built around a one-piece carbon-fibre monocoque, it features four electric motors that deliver an unprecedented 2,011 hp, making it the most powerful series-production road car at launch. Its design is defined by dramatic Venturi tunnels that pierce the rear bodywork to optimise airflow and downforce without the need for large wings. Despite the heavy 93kWh battery pack, Lotus has employed extensive lightweighting to keep the kerb weight below 1,900kg, maintaining the brand's core philosophy of performance through agility.
