About the Lotus 18

The 18 was Colin Chapman's first mid-engined design, built for Formula One, Formula Two and Formula Junior in 1960 with a heavily triangulated steel spaceframe, bolted-on lightweight panels and a semi-reclining driving position. In 2.5-litre form its Coventry Climax FPF produced 239 hp at 6,750 rpm, driving through a five-speed sequential gearbox developed from the Lotus 'Queerbox'. Innes Ireland gave Lotus its first Formula One victory in the non-championship Glover Trophy on 8 April 1960, and six weeks later Stirling Moss won the Monaco Grand Prix in Rob Walker's privately entered car. Moss won again at Monaco and the Nürburgring in 1961, while Ireland won the United States Grand Prix as Lotus finished second in the Constructors' Championship.

Lotus 18 rarity in CarSpot

The Lotus 18 is a Unicorn card in CarSpot, with a rarity score of 80 out of 100. The rarest tier: hypercars, one-offs and cars built in tiny numbers, typically fewer than about 500. A Unicorn card is worth 320 XP.

Each model's tier starts from a 0–100 score based on its value plus its power or production numbers. Once enough players have spotted a model, how often it is spotted can move it up or down one tier. How CarSpot rarity works

Rarity is a collectible game mechanic, not an assessment of real-world scarcity or value.
