About the Hennessey Venom GT
The Hennessey Venom GT is a low-volume hypercar that famously combines a heavily modified Lotus Exige chassis with a massive 7.0-litre twin-turbocharged GM LS7 V8. Engineered in Texas and assembled in England, it was designed with a singular focus on power-to-weight ratio, achieving a 1:1 ratio of horsepower to kilograms. In 2014, it reached a one-way top speed of 270.49 mph (435.31 km/h) at the Kennedy Space Center, though it lacked the production volume for a Guinness World Record. Driving it is a raw, analogue experience, as the immense power is managed solely through a six-speed manual gearbox and a basic traction control system.
