About the Ferrari F2012
The F2012 was Ferrari's 2012 car, designed under Pat Fry and Nikolas Tombazis and driven by Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa. It introduced pull-rod suspension front and rear, but pre-season testing exposed poor handling, and both drivers qualified outside the top ten in Australia. Alonso still won in the wet in Malaysia, from 11th on the grid at Valencia and from pole in Germany, while new exhaust layouts tested at Mugello and introduced in Canada steadily improved the car. He took the title fight to the final round in Brazil, where second place left him three points behind Sebastian Vettel.
