About the Ferrari F138
Scuderia Ferrari built the F138 for the 2013 season, with Pat Fry, Nikolas Tombazis and Loïc Bigois leading chassis design and Luca Marmorini heading engine and electronics. Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa drove it, in what proved to be Massa's final season with the team. The car paired a 2.4-litre Tipo 056 V8 and KERS with pull-rod front suspension, and showed strong race pace early in the year. Alonso won the Chinese and Spanish Grands Prix and the car scored 10 podiums in 19 races, though failed upgrade packages left it behind Red Bull and Mercedes for much of the season.
