About the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano
The 599 GTB Fiorano replaced the 575M Maranello as Ferrari's flagship grand tourer, introducing an all-aluminium chassis and a 6.0-litre V12 derived from the Enzo hypercar. Designed by Pininfarina, it is famous for its distinctive 'flying buttress' C-pillars that provide aerodynamic downforce without the need for a rear wing. It was a technological tour de force for its era, featuring the debut of F1-Trac traction control and magnetorheological dampers. While most were equipped with the F1 SuperFast automated gearbox, it remains highly significant as the last V12 Ferrari offered with a traditional gated manual transmission.
