About the DS Automobiles DS 3 Performance
Introduced in 2016 to coincide with the brand's separation from Citroën, the DS 3 Performance served as the flagship hot hatch of the refreshed range. It inherited the potent 1.6-litre THP engine and Torsen limited-slip differential from the Peugeot 208 GTi by Peugeot Sport, offering a more focused driving experience than the standard DS 3. The chassis was significantly reworked with a 15mm lower ride height, wider tracks, and uprated Brembo brakes. While it lacked the carbon fibre flourishes of its predecessor, the DS 3 Racing, it offered similar performance at a more accessible price point, blending French style with genuine B-road agility.
