About the Aston Martin AMR22

The AMR22 was Aston Martin's first car for the 2022 regulations and the first overseen by new team principal Mike Krack, with Dan Fallows joining from Red Bull as technical director in April. It launched as a wide-bodied car using the full width of the floor, but at the Spanish Grand Prix it appeared with a heavily revised design resembling the Red Bull, which the FIA investigated and confirmed as legitimate. Andrew Green later said the team had worked on two different designs for six months. Sebastian Vettel and Lance Stroll's best results were sixth places in Baku, Singapore and Japan, and the team finished seventh in the Constructors' Championship, behind Alfa Romeo on countback.
