About the Manor MR03B
After Marussia's collapse in late 2014, the rescued Manor Marussia team won special FIA permission in February 2015 to race an updated version of the MR03, pending a new chassis. The MR03B had a revised nose, had to be heavier to meet the 2015 rules and kept the Ferrari 059/3 V6 turbo hybrid. Will Stevens and Roberto Merhi were signed, but the cars took no part in the Australian Grand Prix weekend because the team's computers had been wiped of data before the asset auction. The planned new car never arrived, so the MR03B raced the rest of the season, receiving its first technical updates at the British Grand Prix, with Alexander Rossi replacing Merhi for five of the last seven races.
