About the Abarth 500

Reviving the legendary Abarth name for the 21st century, the Abarth 500 transformed the retro-chic Fiat 500 into a genuine performance tool. Featuring a 1.4-litre T-Jet engine, it delivers a characterful, raspy exhaust note and punchy mid-range torque that belies its small stature. The chassis was significantly reworked with stiffer springs, a lower ride height, and a wider track to provide the 'small but wicked' handling characteristic of Karl Abarth's original racers. While later 595 and 695 models offered more power, the original 135 hp T-Jet remains the purest expression of the modern Abarth formula.
